Stormy Daniels names Ben Roethlisberger during Donald Trump hush
Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's name cropped up in Donald Trump's hush-money trial on Tuesday after porn star Stormy Daniels recalled their infamous meeting at a Lake Tahoe night club in 2006.
Trump is currently on trial in New York City over claims he falsified business records to conceal a hush-money payment to Daniels - whose real name is Stephanie Clifford - in an attempt to hide an alleged sexual encounter between the pair.
The adult-film actress took the stand on Tuesday to testify about the alleged $130,000 she received to keep quiet about her affair with the former US President, who was said to have been with Roethlisberger during one of their early meetings.
Daniels previously discussed her experience with Roethlisberger in her 2018 book 'Full Disclosure', claiming she became 'terrified' of him when he was asked by Trump to walk her back to her hotel room.

Five years on from those allegations Daniels has shed further light on her meeting with Roethlisberger, recalling trying on his Super Bowl ring after Trump introduced them at a VIP club in Lake Tahoe.
Trump is said to have introduced her as his 'little friend Stormy', before describing the Steelers legend as 'Big Ben'.
Roethlisberger declined to comment after Daniels released her book in 2018.
Two years after the alleged incident, he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a Lake Tahoe hotel room, before he eventually settled out of court for an unspecified sum in 2012.
Roethlisberger also faced sexual assault allegations from a woman in Georgia in 2010, only for the district attorney to refuse to press charges. However, the NFL still chose to hit him with a six-game suspension which was later reduced to four games.
'You have told me and the Steelers that you are committed to making better decisions,' Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a letter to the Steelers QB.

'Your actions over the past several months have been consistent with that promise and you must continue to honor that commitment.'
Roethlisberger went on to spend another 11 years with the Steelers, before retiring in 2021 as one of the most prolific passers in NFL history with the fifth-highest all-time passing yards (64,088).
His two Super Bowl triumphs in Pittsburgh came in the 2005 and 2008 seasons.
